Hello and Welcome! Let me introduce myself. Born and reared in scrub brush country South
Texas along the Gulf Coast around the Corpus Christi area, gulf winds took me to College
Station where I received undergraduate degrees in Agricultural Science and Interdisciplinary
Studies, class of 2001. You guessed it, Im an Aggie married to an Aggie. "Gig 'em, Aggies!"
That wasnt enough I obtained a primary teaching degree in 03, and a Master of Science in
Education in 2012. And I dont plan to stop there! But it was early childhood education that made the real difference by instilling in me the desire to excel and achieve supporting the spirit of learning.
An Incarnate Word Academy alumni, class of 97, it was through a college preparatory
education that I learned the importance of achievement, community service
and personal accomplishment. Ive been educating children and adults for fourteen years and
counting. Working with children my goal is to create an atmosphere that allows students to be
genuinely aware and curious; to do their personal best with every endeavor; to be humble and
honest; to think with an open mind, logically, accurately, critically; and to develop personal
talents. Simply put kids come first!
When Im not knee deep in some new adventure of learning or chasing my youngest prankster
around, I design and handcraft Fun! Funky! Jewelry! One day at school and youll see what
Fun! Funky! Really means!
Beyond teaching, parenting is my most important job. My husband Justin, an Aledo alumni class
of 98, and I have two boys, "RV" Park and Macer "Moose", and a 4-legged
kid, Rebel. We live in Bearcat Country, in our humble abode fully equipped with a
taco truck or what one may rightly refer to as a poor boy version of a camouflaged suburban, some feathery guineas, and soon to be welcoming a mini donkey.
